Ten things...

you might not know about me…

1. My favourite poet is Lord Alfred Tennyson.
2. I was once locked in a museum in France (or was it Germany?)
3. I could probably quote the movie Reality Bites from beginning to end. (I’ve never tested myself but I know what I’m doing the next time it rains.)
4. Even numbers make me uneasy. (If I try to explain this further I’ll sound crazy so I’ll leave it at that!)
5. I’m adopted. (No, wait! That’s just what my sisters told me as a child.)
6. I often dream that I’m a vampire or that one is chasing me. (This may not come as a surprise to some of you).
7. Making this list is harder than it seems. I used to hide secret letters inside my ‘My Little Ponies’ by pulling out their tail, shoving the paper inside and reinserting their tail.
8. I started writing bad poetry when I was a teenager after watching the movie Pump up the Volume. (Occasionally I still write bad poetry).
9. I know what song I want to dedicate to my husband on my wedding day. (If indeed that day ever comes).
10. I’ve watched the episode ‘Once More with Feeling’ from Buffy the Vampire Slayer more times than I care to count. Did I mention that this particular episode is a musical? (Go on make fun of me! Spuffy forever.)

Alright there's my list. Now I encourage you to write your own lists in the comments section. Don't be shy now.

So here are ten random things about me:
1. My favorite author is James Joyce, despite the fact that I totally half-assed my way through a class about him in university.
2. I went on a three-day kayaking trip led by a guy who had a nervous breakdown on the second day.
3. I use the movie Intacto to test people I’m dating. If they get it, I know we’ll get along.
4. I look nothing like my family; people assume that I was adopted or that I’m my brother’s boyfriend (and yes, I have been asked about both).
5. I don’t eat fish or anything that comes out of the water. It makes me sick.
6. I was baptized, confirmed, received first communion, and went to Catholic school, so I have a strong knowledge of religion despite not being religious.
7. I read books about humanism, social sciences, evolution, and genetics for fun.
8. I want the song, “And No More Shall We Part” by Nick Cave played at my wedding.
9. I think people who listen are more interesting than people who are always talking.
10. I was a certified diver for ten years before I went diving, and now I want to do it again.
