Namaste

Good Morning Folks.

Yesterday I had the most amazing yoga class. All around me people doing beautiful yoga. Breathing and moving together. There is just no experience like it. One of the Japanese guys in the class could do a beautiful utthita parsvakonasana B. (I couldn't help but notice his yoga.)

When I started doing yoga two weeks ago I felt stiff and weak. But I'm happy to say that I've gained back most of my flexibility. As for my strength that will build in time too. I feel ready for the upcoming retreat.

What retreat you ask? The one in Bali with Caroline Klebl!! Check it. Yes, you heard right. I'm off to Bali tomorrow morning with my friend Juniper for seven days of yoga, sun and vegetarian food. I cannot express to you the excitment I feel. This is the beginning of a two year preparation for India. Yes, India. I want to study Ashtanga yoga with Sri K. Pattabhi Jois in Mysore, India. A perfect way to end five years in Japan. This is my dream folks. And it starts here. The retreat is my jump start, when I return to Japan I'm going to start attending mysore style classes in the mornings before work. The goal here is to do yoga everyday (except moon days) for the next two years - (and on...and on...). To achieve this I'm going to have to change my lifestyle a bit but I couldn't think of a worthier reason to.

After Bali, June and I are heading to Australia for two weeks. Crazy ne. We're planning to hit Sydney, Melbourne and Cairns. The last weekend I'm there (June's staying an extra week) I'm attending a yoga workshop in Sydney. Yoga. Yoga. Yoga. Love it.

And after Australia, that's when I'm coming home my faithful readers. I arrive in Toronto on February 28 with my friend Karen who will stay for 9 days. And I'm there until March 19.

I shall keep you all posted dear readers.

(Sorry I wanted to add more to this before leaving but I've been too busy packing etc and now here I am at 5:25 in the morning rushing to post before heading out to the airport.)
