This week was great - we headed to Matsumoto in Nagano-ken. A great little castle town surrounded by mountains. While there we took full advantage and did two awsome day trips: Kamikochi in the Japanese Alps and Utsukushigahara, a grazing land for cows smack in the middle of the mountains. More on the cows later.

Nagano Ken
It's Friday morning at 7:35 - I'm about to head off to Starbucks to drink the sacred drink and get the last of my grading finished. Hoping to have my students' final grades in by early afternoon. Wish me luck. This evening me and the gang are joining Mac for a baseball game. My first ever in Japan, my second ever, period. I once saw a Blue Jays game in the summer of 1993.
