A few photos from the weekend...

On Friday we had our end the teaching year party...which consists of food (most of which I couldn't eat!), booze (most of which I did drink) and entertainment. The entertainment is usually a 'good bye video' to the those that are leaving (2 this year) and a skit performed by the more er, outgoing, of the teachers. It was quite sad since I've worked with Mark (brown suit) and Eric (to the right of Mark) now for three years. I'll miss having them in the office! More than a few 'jokes' were aimed at the 5 year policy for VFMs (visiting faculty members). If there were no 5 year cap I wonder how long I'd stay at
AU?

I had the perfect morning on Saturday. This picture is what I usually just sit and stare at while I quietly sip my tea (or coffee). I never tire of it. I love people watching.
In the afternoon I headed to Inokashira Koen with Russell and Juniper. This is perhaps my favorite place in Tokyo - especially on the weekend. The park is packed with people. Plus, there are all sorts of performers and vendors all over the park. There is no other place to be on a georgeous Saturday afternoon. I cannot wait until April and cherry blossom season. If I could spend every April in Japan for the rest of my life, I would be a happy woman. I must make this happen.

The only way to achieve this is to become a family of travelling acrobats.
